Working in the San Francisco Department of Heath’s Behavioral Health Access Clinic can be very intense. It is essentially a drop in clinic for people seeking substance abuse and mental health services. The level of intensity calls for some creative self-care. It was on a self-care journey that I discovered Sensory Revolution’s, “Sensational Sprays!” (My first bottle was a wonderful gift but I find myself going back again and again for more.)

I keep at least two different bottles by my computer on my desk. When I am feeling overwhelmed or just need a change of energy I go back to my desk and do a grounding/breathing exercise and use one of the sprays.

At first my neighbors noticed the wonderful smell and then learned of the ritual. Word got around the office and soon my co-workers were coming over for a spritz. I am not sure if it is the medicinal oils, the spray, or the overall pleasant sensations but one thing is for sure, these sprays help allow a noticeable change in the way you feel.

No. 4: This spray is a big hit at the office with its calming lavender and chamomile. Most striking was the way it enveloped and seemed to neutralize or at least change the compassion fatigue associated with this job.

I love the lavender body spray! I bought some spray salts for my wife for valentines day. She uses the spray everyday. I live smelling the lavender on her! Also, she plans on concocting a body scrub with the salts. There is something so therapeutic about the aroma of this stuff unlike the assaulting chemical smell of other products. Thank you!!
